Suncoast Arts Fest

 

The Suncoast Arts Fest is a production of Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc., a Florida not for profit 501(c)3 with the mission to "promote cultural awareness in Pasco County".

Proceeds from the event benefit "The Arts for Kids" and help supplement funding for arts education in schools.

4.     Start making plans! The Suncoast Arts Fest is a week away. The ArtsFest’s main attraction is a juried art show and other events at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, Jan. 21-22, but there will be events in New Port Richey as well. There’s still time to volunteer.

The Suncoast Arts Fest is looking for volunteer help during the growing arts festival held annually at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel!

This family friendly event was attended by over 95,000 visitors in 2011! We are looking for community spirited volunteers who will help us make the 2012 event even more successful!

  • Volunteers are alternated between different tasks, so your not doing the same thing all day!

  • Students will receive Community Service Volunteer hours for your help!

  • Water will be provided to all volunteers.

 

What:7th annual Suncoast Arts Fest

  • 80+ Fine Artists/Craftsmen

  • Live Artist

  • Chalk Artists

  • “Run” for the Arts

  • “Random Acts for Art”

  • “Kids Art Garden”

 Location: The Shops at Wiregrass; 28211 Paseo Drive in Wesley Chapel, Fl 33543

Dates Volunteers Needed: January 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2012

  • Friday        January 20, 2012         noon-5pm: setup

  • Friday        January 20, 2012         10pm-midnight: artist acceptance/placement

  • Saturday    January 21, 2012         4am-6pm 

  • Sunday      January 22, 2012         9am-7pm

 

Who Can Volunteer: Adults, High School Juniors, Seniors and College students

 

 Volunteer Opportunities include:

  • Initial event setup and post event takedown

  • Booth sitting for participating artists needing breaks

  • Directing festival goers to specific artists/craftsmen booths and areas of the festival

  • Survey taking

  • Helping festival goers with directions throughout the festival

  • Assisting children under 12 yrs old with arts activities at “Kids Art Garden”

  • Emerging Artist tents: Be at the booth to insure artwork is not handled, answer questions

A 4 hour minimum commitment to volunteer is needed.

 

All volunteers must have a cell phone with them on their shift. The cell phone number will be given to the volunteer tent, to insure good communication throughout the day!

 

Volunteers must sign in and out with time of day noted.

 

Volunteers are to park in section E and then check in with the volunteer tent.

 

Any other information regarding this event will be discussed at the time of your call!

 

All volunteering help will be documented by the director of volunteering  for SAF.

 

Students will receive Community Service Volunteer hours for your help!
