How your Sponsorship benefits

the Arts for Kids locally!

The Suncoast Arts Fest dba Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc., a not for profit 501(c)3 corporation, has always worked to benefit the “Arts for Kids”. In 2010, after a survey of Pasco county arts teachers was done, SAF took steps to:

·         develop an arts grant program to provide arts instructors with much needed funds to continue arts programs for our youth.

·         work with developers on a web based youth arts calendar at www.ArtsGoForward.com, a new site currently being formed to provide resources for students wanting to know more about arts programs and arts events. Look for this site and more resources to come after early December 2010.

·         begin raising funds at www.SuncoastArtsFest.com. The fundraising page will show a list of much needed supplies, cost, and an easy process to donate.

·         provide Sponsors an opportunity to have a “Splash Page” on the SAF mobile website which has the capability of 1) promoting your company as a sponsor and can 2)be linked to the website of a program your company supports. A great way to support your school arts program!

Your sponsorship dollars help support the endeavors of the SAF to provide much needed resources to benefit the Arts for Kids right here in our community!

How We Are Promoting the Suncoast Arts Fest

Using new technology to reach Smart Phone and cell phone users to promote Suncoast Arts Fest 2011!

QR Code and text messaging to promote Suncoast Arts Fest 2011 on mobile website!

(SAF mobile web site to be live effective 12/9!)

The Suncoast Art Fest is using new technology in 2011 with the promotion of a QR code and a short code text, “SAF to 82672” which will reach ALL cell phone users who “opt in” to find out current information about the Suncoast Arts Fest leading up to and during the event!

SAF to 82672

Simply, here’s how the QR Code works. Smart phone users need to download a phone compatible QR code reader (ScanLife reader at http://web.scanlife.com/us_en). A picture is taken with the smart phone of the QR code which directs the device to open the mobile site for SAF.

Visitors on smart phone or web accessible phones can receive mobile text messaging for SAF by opting in with the short code SAF to 82672. (Note: this is a permission based method of communication and only those that “opt in” go further.) The phone opens to the SAF mobile website.

QR code and short code text SAF to 82672 opens to special SAF mobile website to keep you updated about the event!

(SAF mobile web site to be live effective 12/9!)

More unique ideas that will be used for the first time to promote the Suncoast Arts Fest 2011 event...

in addition to the “How We Are Promoting the Suncoast Arts Fest” summary further below:

  •        Channel 8 TV has selected the Suncoast Arts Fest for a 30 minute TV segment to be filmed during the event. This will not be live, but is supported by TV advertisers and will air sometime during or shortly after the event. This was offered to SAF by Channel 8/Media General to show the use of new technology to promote an event. The naming sponsor will appear on this TV segment.

  •      SCAN ME! T-shirts at SAF event, allowing all cell phone users to access SAF mobile website while at SAF events!

Using new methods to attract “not so distant” visitors to the event!

  • Targeting “Staycation” visitors… in 2010, VisitFlorida.com gave statistics that showed that most Floridians currently take “staycations”, or seek out events that are located closer for weekend jaunts. Last year we experimented with promoting hotels for this weekend arts event, and based upon results, we  have advertised to 840 Florida travel agents and are promoting on The Group Travel Leader website calendar under Festivals. This publication promotes events across the US to travel agents who organize travel excursions for large groups.SAF also has a destination page, Suncoast Arts Fest Weekend, on VisitFlorida.com, the highest trafficked tourism website in the US.
