Suncoast Arts Fest

 

The Suncoast Arts Fest is a production of Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc., a Florida not for profit 501(c)3 with the mission to "promote cultural awareness in Pasco County".

Proceeds from the event benefit "The Arts for Kids" and help supplement funding for arts education in schools.

4.     Start making plans! The Suncoast Arts Fest is a week away. The ArtsFest’s main attraction is a juried art show and other events at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, Jan. 21-22, but there will be events in New Port Richey as well. There’s still time to volunteer.

Tim Decker, Speed Artist, returns to Suncoast Arts Fest 2012!

Speed painter Tim Decker will return and perform his unusual form of painting on a large canvas to upbeat music! Visitors watch as the artist appears to make an image with one color at a time, building on an his art for a final piece of art. Mr. Decker will provide one piece of art on both Saturday and Sunday that will be sold to raise funds for SAF beneficiary “Art for Kids in Pasco County”. 1st Annual Suncoast Run for the Arts Sun., 1/22 at Shops at Wiregrass

A first year 1 mile run to benefit “Art for Kids in Pasco County” will circle around the Shops at Wiregrass on Sunday, Jan. 22nd starting at 9am. The run was added to this year’s Suncoast Arts Fest to help raise funds for “Art for Kids in Pasco County”, the event beneficiary. Wesley Chapel Wind Ensemble, a growing community concert band, will entertain runners and families, and a pancake breakfast ($5/each) will also support the SAF beneficiary.

Chalk Artists at SAF, Thanks to TBBCA.org!

Popular chalk artists will return to the 7th annual Suncoast Arts Fest on Jan. 21-22! The chalk artists are organized by SAF art partner Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA.org) to promote the upcoming Chalk Walk in Hyde Park on March  17-18! Suncoast Arts Fest to use new QR code to move visitors around event

Verizon wireless representatives will be available at the 3 entrances of the 7th Annual Suncoast Arts Fest to show visitors how to view the SAF mobile website using the popular QR code that can be seen on a smart phone! The SAF mobile website will show visitors where artists are located, entertainment timeslots, and has a Location/Direction button to get friends to the festival!

Suncoast Arts Advocacy Teams Up with Florida Alliance for Arts Education (FAAE.org) for Arts Integration Symposium

Suncoast Arts Advocacy, a community organization founded in 2011 to support arts in education, is teaming up with the Florida Alliance for Arts Education to support the upcoming Arts Integration Symposium to be held at SPC College at 13806 58th St. N. in Largo, Fl. on Sat., Feb. 18th from 8:30am-2:30pm. The symposium, administered by Collaborative Labs, will feature Arts Integration visioning sessions open to classroom teachers of all disciplines, arts teachers, principals and administrators, plus separate workshops for parents, community members and arts organizations on how to work together to support arts in education.
